The Board of the Meaford Hall & Culture Foundation consists of up to eight volunteers, each of whom is responsible for a specific portfolio. We also have committees of more volunteers who assist individual Directors manage their portfolio.


Val Brodrick (Director, Community Outreach, & Director, Learning Programs) was the Principal at Southern Georgian Bay Elementary School before she retired. She was on the Board of the Georgian Theatre Festival, and was a volunteer with Cradlelink (Owen Sound Children's Aid Society).

Ted Brown (Special Events) 50 years of building construction & trade show project management. Involved with two companies one for specialty construction project management and the other a manufacture of special signage and graphic applications.

Mark Lemon (Treasurer/Secretary) is a Senior Accountant at Bruce Power.

Rod MacAlpine (Chair, Fundraising) is a well-known real estate agent in Meaford. He is a past-President of the Meaford and District Chamber of Commerce, and a past Director of the Canadian Ski Patrol System. Before moving permanently to Meaford, he was in the Canadian Army, and was the Commanding Officer of the Central Area Land Forces Training Base.
